Special Package of Incentive for Large Industry

The Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute an Empowered Committee to consider special package of incentive for projects of special significance for growth of industry, having capital investment of over Rs. 100 crores, that come into production on or after 1st, April,1996, in terms of Industrial Policy, 1996, notified, vide notification No.15/43/96-5IB/2238, dated 20th March, 1996.

1. The Committee shall comprise of following members:

Chief Minister	Chairman
Finance Minister
Excise & Taxation Minister
Chief Secretary
Principal Secretary Finance
Financial Commissioner Taxation
Secretary Industries & Commerce	Convenor

2. The Empowered Committee shall meet as and when required.

3. No formal examination of proposals put to the Committee will be necessary

Either in the Administrative Department or in Finance Department and decisions of the Committee would be straightaway conveyed to the concerned Departments. All decisions taken by the committee shall be considered directives of the Government.
